Royal West Senior Ski Trip

Mont Sainte-Anne and Le Massif are two of the premier ski resorts in Eastern North America - with abundant snowfall, amazing views and terrain for all levels of skiers and riders.

Students attending the Royal West Grade 11 Ski and Snowboard Trip will be staying at Condos Vacances MSA, situated 2 km from the base of Mont-Sainte-Anne. There is a limited amount of space and applicants will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

All students must wear helmets while skiing and riding.
 

The trip includes:

  • Deluxe coach bus transportation to/from MONTREAL, plus transfers between the condos and Mont Sainte-Anne/Le Massif
  • Accommodations for two nights
  • Lift tickets: 1 day at Mont Sainte-Anne and 1 day at Le Massif
  • Supper at a Sugar Shack on Orleans Island
  • Services of a Ski Evolution guide
  • All taxes and gratuities

March 16-18, 2024

Saturday March 16th

07h45 ​ Coach bus will arrive at Royal West Academy for loading 189 Easton, Montréal-Ouest

08h00 ​ Departure from RWA

11h30 ​ Arrival at Mont Sainte-Anne at Condo Vacances Mont Ste- Anne 355 rue Dupont, Beaupré, Qc G0A 1E0.  

              Baggage into storage or check-in to condos if they are ready.  Leave your ski equipment on the coach bus.

12h15 ​Coach bus to Mont Sainte Anne

12h30 ​Students needing equipment rentals will go with the Ski Evolution Guide to Sports Alpins (located at the base of the mountain)

12h45 ​Evaluation of all intermediate and advances skiers/snowboarders

13h00 ​Ski lessons 90 min. for all beginner and novice levels.

17h00 ​Return to the condos by coach bus.  

17h15 ​Check-in comple​ted and supper in the condos (bring food from home)

19h00 ​Evening: Use of the outdoor pool and hot-tub until 9:00pm or visit the on-site arcade.

22h00 ​No noise after 11:00 p.m.


Sunday March 17th

07h30 ​ Breakfast in your condos

08h15 ​ Coach bus to Le Massif

09h15 ​ Arrival at the base of Le Massif!

12h00 ​ Lunch at Le Massif at the cafeteria at the base (student’s expense)

15h30 ​ Coach bus back to the condos

16h15 ​ Arrival back at the condos

17h30 ​ Departure for a Sugar Shack on Ile d’Orléans – Le Relais des Pins, 2013 chemin Royal, Ste-Famille, Ile d’Orléans, Qc

18h15 ​ Supper at the Sugar Shack with traditional folk music (included)

19h30 ​ Coach bus to Old Québec.  Evening activity – self-guided walk through Old Québec

21h00 ​ Return to the condos.

21h30 ​ All students in their respective condos.  No noise after 11:00 pm.


Monday March 18th

08h30 ​Breakfast.  Condo cleanup (incl. dishes cleaned, garbage outside).  Pack up your belongings.

09h30 ​Condo inspection by teachers.  Return your condo keys to the guide.

09h45 ​ Load luggage on the coach bus

10h00 ​Departure for Montreal

13h30 ​Arrival at RWA



Lodging

CONDOS VACANCES MSA: Spacious condos with a full kitchen and fireplace. Each two bedroom unit will accommodate 5-6 persons. 1 queen bed, 2 single beds, 1 double sofa bed. Outdoor heated pool & hot tubs, sauna and arcade.

2 km from the base of the mountain. Bus transportation will be provided.

Transportation by deluxe coach bus

Amenities included: washroom, TV-DVD, comfortable seats and large luggage compartments. Relax and enjoy the ride to the slopes!

Departure:  8h00 (please arrive at school no later than 07h30)

Return:  13h30 back at RWA

Cost and Payment

The package cost per student is $569

Payment Instructions:  Payment can be made by cheque or credit card.

If paying by credit card the transaction will be done through the online registration process.  If you are paying by credit card transaction fees will be added upon checkout.   If the trip is cancelled for whatever reason, including a teacher's strike, the credit card transaction fees are non-refundable.  There are no transaction fees if you pay by cheque.

If paying by cheque, please make your cheque payable to Ski Evolution Inc. and return your cheque to Ms. Zigby in Room 306. Trip Cancellation insurance:  The package cost includes Trip Cancellation Insurance that offers a full refund for medical reasons or Covid-19 up until 48 hours prior to the trip departure date.   A medical issue must be supported by a doctor's note at the time a claim is requested.  This cancellation insurance does not provide coverage for cancellations on account of removal from the trip for poor behavior or disciplinary reasons, lack of interest, weather conditions, missing the bus departure time, etc..

 Refund Policy (cancellation for non-medical related reasons not covered by the Trip Cancellation Insurance):

  • 45 days to 15 days prior to departure = 50% refund of total trip cost
  • less than 15 days prior to departure = no refund

Equipment Rentals: If you require equipment rentals, please add to your payment.  Helmets are compulsory for all students.

​​- Equipment rental (skis or snowboard) is an extra $70 for two days
​​- Helmet rental is an extra $18 for two days

Students are responsible for their rental equipment. Lost or stolen rental equipment will cost the student $600 (snowboard) or $550 (skis).

​Students are not to leave their equipment unattended at any time.​



All students will be required to sign and respect a Behavioral Contract.  Any unacceptable behavior will result in a telephone call home informing you that your son/daughter will be sent home at your expense. There will be no refunds issued under these circumstances.
