Ski & Snowboard Trip

Just like every year before, you and your friends need a break, so you decide to get a chalet in the mountains just for yourselves. Get your board, your gear and your butt, and join us for a blast at Sainte-Anne's.

Students attending the "College Ski Week 2024" will be staying at Condos Vacances MSA, situated 2 km from the base of Mont Sainte-Anne. There is a limited amount of space and applicants will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

CONDOS VACANCES MSA: Spacious condos with a full kitchen and fireplace. Each two bedroom unit will accommodate 5 persons. 1 queen bed, 2 single beds, 1 sofa bed. Outdoor heated pool & hot tubs, sauna and arcade.

Beginner skiers can receive a 2 hour group lesson the first day of the trip. Students must pre-register for these lessons.

The trip includes:

  • Deluxe coach bus transportation to/from Montreal, plus transfers between the condos and Mont Sainte-Anne
  • Condo accommodations for two nights
  • Lift tickets: 3 days (+ 2 nights) at Mont Sainte-Anne
  • Ski instruction for beginners

There will be a mandatory ski trip meeting on Monday November 6 at 5:30pm in the Agora.

Wednesday, Jan.10

08h00 Bus will arrive at John Abbott College (parking lot north of the football field)

08h30 Departure from John Abbott College

12h00 Stop at the IGA in Ste. Anne de Beaupré

12h45 Arrival at Condo Vacances Mont Sainte-Anne 400 rue Dupont, Beaupré, Qc G0A 1E0. Baggage into storage or check-in to condos if they are ready. Leave your ski equipment on the coach bus.

13h30 Coach bus to Mont Sainte-Anne (MSA)

13h45 Students needing equipment rentals will go with the Ski Evolution Guide to Sports Alpins (located at the base of the mountain)

14h00 Ski lessons 120 min. for all beginners. Snowboard lessons not available.

17h30 Return to the condos by coach bus

17h45 Check-in completed and supper in the condos (bring food from home)

18h45 Evening option#1: Coach bus to the mountain for night skiing.  Evening option#2: Use of the outdoor pool and hot-tub until 9:00pm

20h30 Coach bus back to the condos for students out night skiing

23h00 No noise after 11:00 p.m.


Thursday, Jan.11

09h00 Lifts open at MSA. Coach bus to the base of the mountain. Coach bus will offer 3 transfers to the mountain – 09:00 am, 10:00 am, 11:00 am

16h00 Coach bus back to the condos. Coach bus will offer 2 transfers back to the condos at 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Students can also choose to stay at the mountain and take advantage of night skiing.

Use of the outdoor pool and hot-tub until 9:00pm

18h30 Coach bus will offer a shuttle service at 6:30pm for those wanting to go night skiing at MSA.

21h00 Last shuttle back to the condos for students out night skiing

23h00 No noise after 11:00 p.m.


Friday, Jan.12 

08h00 Breakfast. Condo cleanup (incl. dishes cleaned, garbage outside). 

09h00 Load luggage onto the coach bus.

09h15 Condo inspection by the Ski Evolution Guide.

09h30 Coach bus to the base of the mountain. Coach bus will offer 2 transfers to the mountain – 09:30am and 10:00am

Check-out is at 10h00 am at the latest.

14h30 Return rental equipment to Sports Alpins

14h45 Meet the coach bus in the MSA parking lot

15h00 Departure for Montreal

19h15 Arrival at John Abbott College

Lodging

2 km from the base of the mountain. Bus transportation will be provided.

Transportation by deluxe coach bus

Amenities included: washroom, TV-DVD, comfortable seats and large luggage compartments. Relax and enjoy the ride to the slopes!

Departure: JAC (parking lot near football field) at 08h00 on January 10th

Return: drop off at Fairview Pointe-Claire & JAC at approx. 19h30 on January 12th

Cost & Payment

Cost: $449 (taxes included)

Payment: Please complete the Online Registration Form and within 48 hours drop off your payment (cash, cheque or credit card) to Student Activities H-159. Please write your name, phone # & "JAC College Ski Week 2024" on the back of your cheque. Make your cheque payable to Ski Evolution Inc.

Equipment Rentals: Please add to your payment if you require equipment rentals.

There will be a mandatory ski trip meeting on Monday, November 6 at 5:30pm in the Agora. Please complete the ski trip waiver form prior to the November 6th meeting.

REFUNDS: There are no refunds if you cancel prior to the trip or if you are absent.

SECURITY DEPOSIT : A $60.00 cash security deposit is required at the mandatory meeting on November 6th, 5:30 PM in the Agora. This security deposit will be returned after the trip, provided no damage has been done by the group. Non John Abbott students must give the cash security deposit + a credit card number.

Rental Equipment: Students are responsible for their rental equipment. Lost or stolen rental equipment will cost the student $600 (snowboard) or $550 (skis). Students are not to leave their equipment unattended at any time.

A $15.00 service charge will be applied for any cheque returned by your financial institution.

Agreement & Waiver: I understand that I am financially responsible for any damages to my room or the adjoining property. I am satisfied that this waiver form be drawn up in the English language. I agree that I am fully responsible for my behaviour and consequences of said behaviour, and agree to pay for any and all damages to my condo. I agree that I will not invite unregistered visitors to visit or stay in my Condo. Doing so, may result in everyone in the Condo being sent home at our own expense.
