Rod Roy: History
Since 1962

Rod Roy Ski & Snowboard School has been offering winter programs since 1962. The school was founded by Rod Roy who was a high school teacher for 32 years. Rod can still be found on the slopes several times a week during the ski season. Rod's son, Doug, has been the Snow School Director since 1997.

The programs have evolved over the years but Rod's commitment to "extra service and quality in a fun and safe environment" has never changed.

In December 2006 Rod Roy Ski School was honoured to be inducted into the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance Hall of Fame for 45 years of comitment and dedication to the sport of skiing. In October 2009 Rod Roy Ski School was inducted into the Laurentian Ski Museum Hall of Fame.
