Help & Resources: Wet Weather Survival Tips

Wet Weather Survival Tips

In order to enjoy your ski days to their fullest it’s important to be properly dressed for the elements. Quite often when it rains the snow conditions are soft and there is less ice.

Here are a few suggestions and clothing tips to help keep you dry on those days with “mixed precipitation”.

  1. Wear a pair of waterproof rain pants.  This will help when you are sitting on the chairlift. You can find inexpensive pants at Equipeur, Walmart, Canadian Tire (Wetskins @ $14.99) or outdoor sports shops.
  2. Rubber, neoprene, PVC or latex gloves will keep your hands dry.  Wear a thin liner glove underneath for warmth.  Available at most hardware stores ($5.99 @ Reno-Depot).
