Vaccine and Mask Policies for the 2021-2022 Season

1/20/2022: All children ages 6-12 in a program with bus transportation must provide proof of vaccination of at least one dose.

In order for children to be able to eat on the bus we have received health and safety instructions that all children ages 6-12 must provide proof of vaccination of at least one dose although double dose vaccination is preferred. All persons ages 13+ must be fully vaccinated.

This change in policy, for ages 6-12, applies only to students in a program with bus transportation.  Students who are not vaccinated will have the option to switch to the U-drive program for this season.

Please email one of the two following proofs of vaccination to [email protected].

  1. A screenshot of your government vaccination proof indicating your name and that you are "Adequately Protected".
  2. A screenshot of your QR code.

1/4/2022: Due to the current situation with the pandemic we are unable to start our programs on January 8, 9 & 11.  We are hopeful that the situation will improve and that we can begin our programs later in January.  We have plenty of winter ahead of us and the conditions in the mountains will be good until the end of March.

Ski hills are open at this time however the current restrictions do not allow eating indoors.  This also applies to eating on the buses.  Once Public Health lifts the current measures (opening of chalets for lunch and allowing people from different households to sit together indoors) we plan to start our programs.

Our instructors  successfully completed all of their pre-season training in November and December and they are excited to see you on the slopes!

In the meantime here are few suggestions to make sure that you are prepared to ski & snowboard.

  1. Subscribe for "Remind" text updates
  2. Find your bus #, class # & instructor's name
  3. Prepare for Day 1.
  4. First timers.  Familiarize yourself with your gear using our video tutorials for beginners.

12/28/2021: due to the current pandemic situation with the Omicron variant it is likely that the start of our programs will be delayed until later in January.

All members ages 12 and older must provide proof of vaccination.

Please email one of the two following proofs of vaccination to [email protected].

  1. A screenshot of your government vaccination proof indicating your name and that you are "Adequately Protected".
  2. A screenshot of your QR code.
  3. If you are not able to send a proof of vaccination by email you can mail a copy of your QR code to 4435 rue Kingston, Pierrefonds, QC, H9A 2T2.

Health measures (pdf version available in French only, English version coming soon)

Ski Rod Roy has always emphasized “Safety, Fun & Learning” and we look forward to gathering together, sharing the joys of winter and welcoming everyone back for our 60th anniversary season!

Ski Rod Roy and the entire ski industry are committed to the health and safety of all members of the ski community—mountain employees, guests, Rod Roy staff and members.

To ensure the safety of everyone, the following policies will be in place for the 2021-2022 season. Please note that this is an evolving situation and changes may be made to these policies prior to the start of the season or during the season.

All passengers on Rod Roy buses must wear acceptable face coverings at all times, except while eating or drinking at designated times. All face coverings must cover the nose and mouth and comply with Public Health guidelines for acceptable face coverings.

Members will need to be fully vaccinated with an authorized vaccine in order to travel by bus and must show proof of vaccination prior to the start of the season. “Fully vaccinated” means that the first Rod Roy day that you are attending must be:

  • at least 14 days after your second dose of an authorized two dose COVID-19 vaccine, or
  • at least 14 days after your single dose of an authorized single dose COVID-19 vaccine.

The only exception to the above will be for members under the age of 12.

Members who do not comply with these policies will be denied entry on the bus or asked to leave the bus. If you feel that you cannot follow these guidelines, please contact us right away.

Rod Roy members will need to comply with all Public Health requirements as indicated at each individual ski resort. These measures currently include face coverings in lift lines, handwashing and physical distancing of 2 meters.

We're all in this together. Thank you for being part of the Rod Roy community and following these new policies. We look forward to seeing you very soon. In the meantime, let us know if there’s anything else we can do.
