| Matthew Brotherwood (17) from N.D.G., has been skiing with the Rod Roy Snow School since he was ten. Matthew has Down Syndrome and competed for the South West Island region last weekend at the Quebec Special Olympics Winter Games, which were held in the Quebec City region. The skiing events were held at Le Relais just outside the city. Matthew skied in the Slalom, Giant Slalom, and Super-G competitions, and brought home two gold and one silver medals. This is his second season of competitive skiing, and this was his first provincial event. Matthew had a great time and says a huge Thank You to everyone at Rod Roy who have taught and encouraged him in his skiing over the past seven years. | ||
